From "A Few First-Families" by Frank Talbot Dale in 2002: BEGIN Peter Brugler 1815-1893 Buried in Hainesburg cemtery, [sic] NJ Supervised the building of the bridge crossing the Paulinskill River between Warrington and Brugler farm in 1862, a beautiful stone structure still in use. END All of this (including the children) is from Shirl Hering February 2, 2007. (Shirley Lillian Martindale (0.704)) BEGIN Lester Weller Snyder (my grandfather) was born 20 Dec 1888 in Columbia, Warren Co. NJ. He married Grace Uhler Brugler born 11 March 1890, Columbia, Warren Co. NJ. Grace Brugler's family lived north of Paulin's Kill (near Raubs) and some of the family still owns that land. The Bridge over the kill which goes by the farm on Brugler Rd. was built by Grace's grandfather Peter Brugler (1815-1893) who was married to Rachel Hagerman (1812-1886). Rachel Hagerman's father was Joseph Hagerman (1776-1823) married to Susanna Labar (born 1786-1880). Joseph Hagerman's father was Francis Hagerman SR married to Abigail Thorn. Francis Hagerman Sr's daughter Anna Nancy Hagerman was married to Peter Brugler's father James Brugler. And James Brugler's father was Henry Brugler (1749-1827) married to Martha Brown (1753-1831) daughter of James Brown and Sarah Allison. The Hagermans, Browns and Bruglers all lived in Poukeepsee Co. (Long Island) NY together early on and all moved together to NJ and intermarried into each other's families. Henry Brugler's father Samuel Brugler, mother Mary ? The Brugler's received land from both Francis Hagerman Sr. and from James Brown as well as their father Samuel owning land north of the kill. James Brown's son John Brown was married to Henry Brugler's daughter Mary Magdelene; James Brown's dau Sarah was married to Samuel Brugler's son Ralph Brugler, and as you know Henry Brugler was married to James's Brown's daughter Martha Brown. So it went from: Andreas Bruchli b.1517- and Barbara Amman to Jakob Bruchli b 1604 and Elsbeth Gebhart to Hans Bruchli 1643 and Elizabeth Muller to Johan Heinrich Brugler (Bruchli) 1675 to 1738 wife Magdalena Finck to Samuel Brugler 1717-1772 to wife Mary (nickname Fanny) ? to Henry Brugler ( 1749-1827) and Martha Brown to James Brugler (1781-1852) and Anna Nancy Hagerman to Peter Brugler and Rachel Hagerman to Frank Brugler (1855-1946) and Laura Uhler (1864-1954) James Brown's son James, Peter Brugler son of Samuel and brother of Henry, a few of the Millers moved to Columbia Co. PA; Mifflinville area as did John W. Snyder who married Peter Brugler's daughter Catherine. A few of them moved to NY for a short time and from the [sic, should be there] to Mifflin Twp PA. Peter Brugler moved there early on after the Revolutionary War in which he served. Grace Brugler was born (1890-1975) had 4 siblings: Cora Agnes Brugler 1888-1972 did not marry; took care of her mother who had what we believe was Alzheimers Frank Russel Brugler 1882-1975 comptroller of Bethlehem Steel Co married Miriam Walters 1st wife; dau Peggy;Beryl Jones 2nd wife later in life Oliver Stogden Brugler 1895-1985 who married Viola Shotwell who recently died at age 104! 2 children, Virginia and Stanley Laura Ruth Brugler 1898-1988 who married Bill Sprague no children Grace Brugler above married Lester Weller Snyder 13 Feb 1911 in Columbia, Warren Co. NJ Lester and Grace moved to Philadelphia where lester was an occulist/optomitrist. They had 2 children, my Mother Ruth Snyder Martindale and Clark Weller Snyder. My mother had 5 children and my Uncle had 3 children, and she died 2003 at age 90; born 12 June 1912. Uncle Clark Snyder was a ship captain in the Merchant Marine. He went to Petty Institute. He died in a hurricane at sea off Cape Hattaras which rent his ship in two. He was on the bridge along with the first mate. His dates 1916-1960. I am the youngest of 5 children. We all went to college, all married, all have several children and most of us have grandchildren. When my mother died, she had 5 children; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. We are all very close. My husband is one of 4 children; and we are close friends on his sie [sic, should be side] too. My Dad was one of two sons; goes back to the founders of Saybrook CT, early Mass., NY; early founders of bay City MI, etc. I have his lines going back mostly completed. Some of his line came here in the early 1600's as did my mother's Brugler line. Grace Brugler's mother Laura Uhler goes back to John J. Uhler and Catherine Schoch. Catherine Schoch was the dau of Daniel Schoch and Anna Margaret Flory. Daniel Schoch went back to John Schoch and Elizabeth Dieterly back to Hans Jakob Schoch (also seen as Schook; Schuck; Schlough) John J. Uhler went back to Valentine Uhler and Elizabeth Breidinger then back to Jacob Uhler and Elizabeth Messinger. Anna Margaret Flory's father was John Flory and wife Elizabeth Illick. John Flory (Florhi)'s parents were Johannes Flory and Christina Hahn. Not to be confused as a genealogist has the wrong data out there; John Flory Jr. was born 1761 married to Elizabeth Illick (her parent Johan Cristopher Illick married to Elizabeth Huber). There is another John Flory born 1752 who is married to a Miller. And I have all of these back further.
