Kishbaugh Berwick woman volunteered at hospital gift shop Evelyn M. (Nicewinter) Kishbaugh, 86, of Spring Garden Avenue, Berwick, died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hazleton. Born Dec. 11, 1919, in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late William and Jeanette (Fox) Nicewinter. She was a volunteer at the Berwick Hospital gift shop. Preceding her in death were her sisters, Esther Varner and Marjorie Benscoter. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Jay F. Kishbaugh; one son, Wayne W. Kishbaugh and his wife Sheila of Hereford; grandson, Heath W. Kishbaugh and his wife Kimberly of Quakertown; three great-grandchildren: Taylor A., Brendan A. and Gabrielle A. Kishbaugh, all of Quakertown; three sisters: Blanche Heiss, Betty, wife of Michael Magrone, and Nola, wife of Georghe McAfee, all of Berwick; and one brother, Harry Nicewinter of Folcroft. A visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2006, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:30 p.m. from the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick, with the Rev. Richard Goodman of Salem Bible Church, Macungle, officiating. Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Kishbaugh, 91, of Spring Garden Avenue, Berwick, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Bloomsburg Health Care Center. Born May 14, 1916, in Berwick, he was the son of the late Franklin and Mamie (Fahringer) Kishbaugh. He was a graduate of Berwick High School and was employed by the AC&F as the powerhouse operator and blew the three o'clock whistle, until his retirement from Berwick Forge & Fabricating in 1981. Preceding him in death was his wife of 69 years, the former Evelyn Nicewinter, who died April 16, 2006, and three sisters: Mary Travelpiece, Vera Harvey and Ruby Cragle. Surviving are his son, Wayne Kishbaugh, and his wife Sheila, of Hereford, Pa.; grandson Heath Kishbaugh, and his wife Kimberly, of Quakertown; three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Brendan and Gabrielle; a sister, Shirley Cragle of Nescopeck; and a brother, Doyle Kishbaugh, and his wife Shirley, of Espy.
