She was born August 13, 1940, to Boyd and Helen Lake and grew up in Oakley, Utah. She met Fred Andreasen while attending BYU. They were married June 1, 1962, in the Salt Lake temple. They had five children Vicki White (Wayd), Roger Andreasen (Stacey), Roy Andreasen (Lorraine - deceased), Cindy Jones (Troy) and Mark Andreasen (Amy). Kathy loved scouting and all the boys she worked with. She loved her Wood Badge experience and was honored to receive the Silver Beaver award. Kathy's degree was in elementary education but found her true calling in life when she became a CNA. She loved working for home health and had so much love and compassion for those she worked with. Kathy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life and had many opportunities to serve. She and Fred enjoyed serving in the Florida Tallahassee mission together. At the time of her death, she was serving in the stake relief society presidency. One of her favorite callings was visiting the older singles in her ward which she continued to do until her death. Kathy was a remarkable example of service. She truly understood and lived the 2nd great commandment, Thou shalt love thy neighbor. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, and her daughter in-law Lorraine. She is survived by her siblings Renee Mikesell (Vaughn), David Lake (Margene) and Dayne Lake (Maureen). Her 5 children, 28 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
