census, but Sarah has by then married Samuel. Then when Noah dies in 1792,
oldest son Rufus has reached his majority, but brother Jonathan had not. So
we get a recorded connection with Sarah to both her first family and her
second as in May 1792, Samuel Mather is named guardian for Jonathan Scofield.
