In review of the Hutchinson papers, Mr. Hutchinson assigns Joseph
the son of Joseph & Leah Robins as the husband of Meribah Salter.
However, other sources prove this to be incorrect.
Joseph son of Joseph & Leah Clayton Robins married Jane Hoopes and
had the following childre:
Sarah b. 1768, d. 1856 Edgemont, PA married Samuel Plankinton
brother of Jesse Plankinton her sister Jane's husband.
Mary b. abt. 1770 She is named in the will
of her grandfather Hoopes. No other information.
Margaret b. abt. 1772 d. ? Redstone, PA married David Baker, brother
of her sister Alice's husband.
Lydia b. abt. 1774, d? Clermont, OH married John Ives. They lived in
NJ before going west.
Jane b. 5/31/1776 d. 6/25/1806 Brandywine, DE married Jesse
Plankinton
Joseph b. abt. 1778 lived to adulthood d.? in ? PA.
Abraham b. abt. 1780 d. 1850 or 1855 in Carroll Co., OH.
Alice b. 10/29/1783, d. 9/24/1864 Columbiana, OH married on
12/22/1803, Gideon Baker in Washington Co., PA.
Parthenia b. 11/7/1787, d. 9/19/1837 Del Co., PA married James Hall.
Abigail b. 12/17/1787, d. 10/27/1870 in Monmouth Co., NJ married
Thomas Deboogh/Debow.
The birthdate for Parthenia is from the "Genealogy of the Smedley
Family." Abigail's is from her headstone as recorded in the
Hutchinson papers. There's a discrepancy with
their birth dates.
Esther b. 11/7/1789, d. 6/20/1864 in Hanover,OH married Thomas Black.

The above Abraham Robins had children: Wm, Seth, Clayton, Eli, Jane,
& Emily.
