Silverthorn, Bro. Joseph Isaac, born Sept. 15, 1837, died at his home at
Mooreland, Okla., Aug. 15, 1909, aged 71 years and 11 months. He was a
faithful member of the Church of the Brethren for thirteen years. He leaves
a devoted wife, five daughters and two sons. Services in the M. E. church
at Mooreland, Aug. 16, by the writer. Text, 1 Thess. 4: 18.

Obituary published in The Gospel Messenger, July 31, 1915, page 495:

Silverthorn, Barbara Ann, nee Fackler, born Aug. 11, 1838, near Mansfield,
Ohio, died July 15, 1915, in her home, in Mooreland, Okla., aged 76 years,
11 months and 4 days. When the deceased was quite small, her parents
moved with her to Janesville, Wis., where she spent her early days. She
was married March 6, 1859 to Joseph I. Silverthorn, who preceded her to
the better land about six years. To this union were born five daughters
and three sons. One son died in infancy. She leaves seven children. She
united with the Church of the Brethren about twenty years ago. Services were
conducted by the undersigned in the M. E. church in Mooreland, Okla. Text,
John 14: 1-6. Interment in the Mooreland cemetery. – Emanuel J. Smith,
Woodward, Okla.
