The name Randall appears to have originated from the surname FitzRandolph. The
name is an early one of a prominent family found at Woodbridge & in Monmouth
Co. I've done some research on the FitzRandolph family & suspect but have no
proof that the wife of Aaron Robins, Sr. (her first & last name is unknown)
may have been a FitzRandolph. The name Randall is sometimes spelled as
Randolph & is used multiple times down through the generations of this line.

1798, Mar. 26.  Robbins, Randal, Sr., of Upper Freehold Twsp., Monmouth Co.; 
will of.  Wife, Rebekah, house and lot in Cabbagetown, now in posession
of George Sprols [Sproul]; also choice of 1 bed and 1 cow.  Son, Timothy,
house and lot in Allentown, whereon he now lives; also a 7 acre field
purchased of Aaron Robbins (son of Daniel) southward of the road adjoining
to Samuel Quay's lot.  Son, George, residue of lands southward of the
road to Allentown and 8 acres of woodland on the north side of said road
purchased of James Hepburn, dec'd, to begin at DeBow’s and David and  
Elisha Robins' corner and to run along their line; he to pay my wife
[pounds]7 yearly, and his brother, Randal, [pounds]50, when he is 21; 
also to pay to his half brothers, Joseph, Samuel, Charles, Aaron and Enoch
Robins, each [pounds]40 as they come of age.  Son Randal, 40 acres over the
York road adjoining to David and Elisha Robins to Robert Hepburn's land;
also the residue is to be sold and proceeds divided between the 5 youngest
sons, when they come of age.  Daughter, Sarah Field, [pounds]30.  Daughter,
Charlotte Sproles [Sproul], [pounds]5. Daughters Mary and Abigail Robins,
and Rebekah and Susan Robbins, each [pounds]50, when 18.  Executors - sons,
Timothy and George.  Witnesses - William McKean and Robert Montgomery.
