SOLOMON was born in Woodbridge, Middlesex County, New Jersey, and died 1750
in Woodbridge. He married HANNAH ------.

It should be noted that researcher Charles Gardiner, in "New Jersey Families, 1600-1900," believed that
Solomon, d. 1750, was the son of Benjamin Thorp/Unknown Wright.

1750, Oct 16. Thorp, Solomon, of Woodbridge, Middlesex Co.,
yeoman. Int. Adm'rs - Hannah Thorp, the widow, and William Moore,
both of Woodbridge. Bondsman - Thomas Thorp, of said place. Witness:
Thomas Bartow.

Information on Solomon Thorpe's children provided by Lois Gzenda,
who possesses transcription of part of deed involving Thomas Thorpe
Jr. and Hannah Thorpe. "Thomas Thorp Jr of Martha's Vineyard in Mass is
the eldest son and heir of Solomon Thorp, deceased, who died intestate
and had land from his father, Thomas Thorp.  Hannah Thorp is the widow of
Solomon Thorp. Thomas Thorp Jr. has brothers Enoch Thorp and John Thorp.
Witnesses are Abner Thorp and William Martin. Dated June 6, 1768."
