This land was previously purchased by Moses Robins, Jr. at a Sheriff's sale on June 27, 1763 from the estate of Ephraim Robins deceased s/o 10-Aaron. The land named in the Supreme Court document was sold on Sept 1, 1784 by John Burrows High Sheriff to James Rogers for 111 pounds. James Robins appears to have kept or recovered approximately 4 acres from the original parcel because on Nov. 2, 1790 James Robins & Eleanor his wife of the township of Windsor in Middlesex Co. convey a lot of land in Monmouth Co. containing 4 acres to Samuel Quay of Allentown. The deed states this was formerly the land his father Moses Robins purchased on June 27, 1763 belonging to Ephraim Robins deceased. The 1790 deed also indicates James & Eleanor were living in Windsor Township, Middlesex Co. at that date.
