transcription of Newspapers->Misc->5.123.jpg From the Orange County Times Press, Middletown, New York dated April 12, 1910: BEGIN MANY AFFLICTIONS IN THIS FAMILY Insanity, Sickness and Death Visit the Hortons in Warwick Township. Should the unfortunate insane man--A. K. Horton--ever recover his mind sufficient to be released, he will find a sadly changed home awaiting his first visit, says the Warwick Advertiser. The father was pronounced insane and sent to the Middletown State Hospital. The report is current that shortly before he moved to Warwick from the town of Blooming Grove, he was struck over the head by a man by whom he was employed, or with whom he was working, which blow was the probably cause of his illness. He was taken to the hospital on Easter Sunday, and on the Tuesday following the mother came to town to have some teeth pulled, and when she returned she found her youngest child had died. She was taken very ill at once and developed a case of measles, and on Saturday the mother was dead. Three daughters remain, all of them very seriously ill, one with consumption. A boy, about twelve years old is the only other member of the family at the bereft home. It has been feared from day to day that one of the girls might die at any time. The charitable people of Warwick have been ministering to the wants of this sorely afflicted family. END
