John Hagaman married Susan Cackner. They had three children. He was a member of the Finesville United Method Church in Finesville, NJ. He lived in Riegelsville, NJ and served for one three year term as a Warren County Freeholder. He was a lifelong Democrat. He would have had a living memory of 26 U.S. Presidents beginning with Andrew Jackson and ending with Franklin D. Roosevelt. In his later years, he moved to Easton, PA and lived with his son at 811 Bushkill Street. He died the oldest citizen of the City of Easton, PA; just eleven days shy of his 101st birthday.
