    Mrs. Adaline Garland
    Mrs. Adaline Garland died at her home near Needmore, Sunday, May 14,
    1933 from a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been in failing health for
    the past five months but her condition was not considered serious
    until about two weeks before her death.  She was a daughter of John
    and Martha Morgret Hill and was born in this county, Feb 23, 1853,
    being aged 80 years, 2 months and 21 days.  She was united in marriage
    to Amos Garland, who preceded her in death four years ago.  Mrs. Garland
    is survived by two sons, Jobe G., and Howard Garland, both of Needmore,
    one sister, Mary M. Garland of Needmore and one sister, Mattie Leader
    of Elkins, W. Va., and one half-brother, Austin Hill, of Chicago, and a
    half-sister, Mrs. Frank Skiles of McConnellsburg.  Funeral services were
    held on Tuesday, May 16th at 1 o'clock at Hill's Chapel, Rev. Isaiah
    Mellott officiating.  Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    Job G. Garland
    Mr. Job G. Garland, life long resident of Needmore, this county, passed
    away at his home there on Wednesday, May 7, 1941 at the advanced age of
    65 years, 2 months and 23 days.  A son of the late Amos and Adaline (Hill)
    Garland, he was born February 14, 1876. Remaining a bachelor all his life,
    he made his home with his sister, Mollie Garland on the old home farm.
    His life was one of strict, honest and upright in all his dealings which
    was mainfested by the large gathering of friends who attended the funeral
    services. He was united the the Oakley Christian church many years ago.
    Surviving are: one brother, Howard Garland of Needmore, and one sister
    Mollie Garland, also of Needmore.  Short funeral services were held
    in the home, followed by services at Hill's Chapel church, under the
    direction of Rev. T. P. Garland, assisted by Rev. L. L. Garland. Burial
    was made in the cemetery near the church.
