In 1900, Floyd lived with his parents in Hope Township. He is not listed as attending school during the census year (1900 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 189, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 2B, 3 June 1900). Floyd married Emily Genevieve Vass on 27 January 1916. She was the daughter of Eugene Vass and Rosa A. Cook. Emily was born 4 January 1894 and died 4 February 1994 (Allen 2001). Her last known residence was Belvidere, Warren County, New Jersey (Social Security death index). In 1910, Floyd was living with his parents. He was a laborer on the farm and he also attended school during the 1909 to 1910 school year (1910 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 131, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 14A). Mrs. Floyd M. Gibbs was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Blairstown, Warren County, New Jersey in 1916 (Burd 1916). In 1930, the couple resided with their children-Thelma and Elmer-on a farm in Hope Township. Emily's mother, Rosa A. Vass also resided with them (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 21-11, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 4B, 8 April 1930). Floyd died 26 January 1975. His last known residence was in Belvidere, Warren County, New Jersey (Social Security death index). Floyd and Emily are buried in St Johns of Hope Methodist Church Yard (also known as "Old Moravian"), Hope, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey with their daughter and with Floyd's parents. Stones were field checked 10 June 2000 and again on 24 March 2000. THELMA GIBBS7, was born 20 March 1919 in Warren County, New Jersey and died 14 November 2000. She lived with her parents in 1930 on their farm in Hope Township, Warren County and attended school (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 21-11, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 4B, 8 April 1930).Thelma appeared in the "ZION AND VICINITY" section of the Blairstown Press on 15 February 1934. The paper announced: "Miss Thelma Gibbs is ill with the Measles." Thelma appears to have never married. She died in November 2000, her last residence was Whippany, Morris County, New Jersey (Social Security Death Index). Thelma is buried with her parents and grandparents in the family plot in St Johns of Hope Methodist Church Yard (also known as "Old Moravian"), Hope, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey. Her grave stone was field checked 24 March 2004. NORMAN M. GIBBS7, was born 13 June 1931 in Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey and died 22 June 1931. He is buried in the Gibbs family plot in St Johns of Hope Methodist Church Yard (also known as "Old Moravian"), Hope, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey. His grave stone was field checked 24 March 2004. END
