Kishbaugh, seventy-seven, Berwick R.D. 1, owner of Kishbaugh's Garage and service station on Route 11 since 1925, died yesterday morning at twelve-fifteen in Nanticoke State General Hospital. He had been ill for the past year and hospitalized since Wednesday. He was a former employee of the ACF and a member of Berwick Lodge of Moose. He and his wife, the former Laura Seely, would have observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary this June. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry Ulshafer, Berwick; two sons, Melvin, Shickshinny; Henry, Berwick; a brother, Lloyd, [sic] Berwick R.D. 1; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was born in Salem Township, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Polly Seybert Seely, and had spent her entire life in Berwick. Mrs. Kishbaugh was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Berwick. Her husband, Fred H. Kishbaugh, died in 1948 [sic]. Survivors include two sons, Melvin R., Shickshinny, and Henry J., Berwick; a daughter, Mrs. Harry E. (Daisy) Ulshaffer, Berwick R.D. 3; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Kishbaugh, 64, 808 Pine St., Berwick, died Monday evening at the Berwick Hospital, where he had been a patient for one day. He had been in ill health for two years. Born in Salem Township, he was a son of the late Fred and Laura Seely Kishbaugh, and had resided in the Berwick area his entire life. He had been employed as an automobile salesman for Brown Chevrolet-Cadillac Inc., and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Berwick, and the Berwick Lions, Elks, and Eagles. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary A. Roskoski, to whom he had been wed 37 years; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Daisy) Ulshaffer, Berwick; and a brother, Melvin Kishbaugh, Shickshinny. Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the John B. Kelchner Funeral Home, Berwick, with the Rev. Charles F. Hess, his pastor, officiating. (Roskoski) Kishbaugh Avid bingo player, active member of senior center Mary A. (Roskoski) Kishbaugh of 221 E. Ninth St., Berwick, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Berwick Hospital Center. She recently resided at Berwick Retirement Village II, following a brief illness. Born March 8, 1920, in Shickshinny, she was a daughter of the late Julian and Josephine (Lapinski) Roskoski. Mary was a widow of Henry J. Kishbaugh, who died July 30, 1979. She attended school in Shickshinny and worked as a homemaker following her marriage to Mr. Kishbaugh. Mary was active with the Berwick Senior Citizens Club and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary (St. Mary's) in Berwick. She was an avid bingo player. Mary is survived by her sisters: Regina Claxton of Gary, Ind., and Jean Gaydosh of Berwick. She is also survibed by her nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were a sister, Helen Hoosty; and three brothers: Walter, Stanley and Joseph Kosloski. Friends will be received Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1730 Fowler Ave., Berwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Father Francis J. Tamburro, her pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. The Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home Inc., 119-121 E. Third St., Berwick, is assisting the Kishbaugh family.
