All the following is from David Hoffman dated May 23, 2005: BEGIN These are my grandparents: Ethel May DILTS was born 9 May 1881 in Unionville, Hunterdon Co. NJ, and died 13 Nov 1978 in St. Augustine, St. Johns Co FL. She married Edward Alexander HOWARD 9 Jan 1915 in Baltimore, MD, son of Jonathan HOWARD and Hettie S. CLARK. He was born 21 Mar 1881 in Haddam, Middlesex Co. CT, and died 25 Jan 1976 in Gloucester, Gloucester Co VA. My grandmother was for a while a seamstress, traveling around the Ringoes area (even into PA), staying with families, doing their sewing and mending. My granddad was a chauffeur for Mr. Myers (of Bristol-Myers fame). They lived in Washington DC for most of their lives. My mother tells me they met through a 'Lonely Hearts' Club, writing to each other for several years and finally getting married. Children of Ethel DILTS and Edward HOWARD are: i. Marion Elise HOWARD, b. 16 Apr 1916, Trenton, Mercer Co NJ. ii. Alice HOWARD, b. Abt. 1920, mar. James BRANCA, he was a cab driver in Washington DC and she became a French teacher in the public schools of Maryland, suburban DC, three children END
