Lake Enoch C. Lake died suddenly in the Binghamton City Hospital at 3:45 on Friday morning, after a brief illness. Mr. Lake was a former resident of Auburn township, Susquehanna County, and for some years conducted a meat market in Montrose. He had lived in Binghamton about twenty-five years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Stoddard of Venice, California, a sister, Mrs. John West, of Auburn Corners, and one brother, A. L. Lake, of South Montrose. The funeral was conducted on Sunday afternoon in the Sullivan Funeral Home, Binghamton, and services were also held at the grave in Jersey Hill cemetery, Auburn Township, where interment was made. The Rev. James Nankivell officiated. The casket bearers were nephews of the deceased: Homer, Cleveland, Harold, William, Searle and Leo Lake.
