From the New Jersey Herald, Newton, New Jersey dated December 25, 1958:

Lafayette- Funeral services for George Sickles, at Limecrest road, were
conducted Monday afternoon at the Smith Funeral Home, 63 High street,
Newton, by the Rev. Cloyd Osborne, pastor of the First Methodist Church
of Newton.  Burial was in Newton Cemetery.  Mr. Sickles died suddenly in
Newton Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Dec 18.  A native of Sussex County,
he was 80 years old.  He had lived in Lafayette Township for eight years,
and prior to that time was a resident of Andover Township.  He was a farm
laborer.  He is survived by a son, Clark, of Hamburg, and five grandchildren.
