Sharp's father Dr. Dallas Lore Sharp born in Haleyville, NJ became a professor at Boston University in 1899. He won distinction as an educator but his greatest attainment was in the field of literature. He wrote many nature books. They are among some of my favorites. All of Dr. Sharp's work conveys his deep understanding and appreciation of the beauties of nature. He often wrote of places in Cumberland Co., NJ along the Maurice River & Delaware Bay in the area of his boyhood home. Sara END
