He had been in failing health for the past 5 years. Mr. Kilpatrick was 64 years of age. He was born at Freemansburg and was a son of the late William & Anna Van Billiard Kilpatrick. For the past 50 years he had resided in Easton and had many friends in this vicinity. Deceased spent many years on the road as a commercial traveler and represented J.W. Goddard & Son of New York. Later he engaged in the shoe business with his brother-in-law, the late F.P. Geehr and was for several years in business for himself. Of recent years, he lived retired. Mr. Kilpatrick is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Heck Kilpatrick and by one son, George W. Kilpatrick, of this city. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Emma Geehr, widow of F.P. Geehr, of Easton. He was a member of Tatamy Council, # 159, O.U.A.M. and of St. John's Lutheran Church, this city. Dr. F.K. Fretz, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, & burial was made in Easton Cemetery. The pallbearers were: W.S.Stoneback, Milton Sandt, A.J. Price, & William H. Lawall.
