Emma Garland Mellott, wife of Mason Mellott, Needmore, Pa., was born July
14, 1868 and departed this life Nov. 9, 1941, at the age of 83 years, 3,
months and 25 days.  She was the daughter of Bennie Garland and Polly Hess
Garland.  Those to mourn her death are her husband and children: Jessie Walks,
Washington, D.C.; Ethel Fittry, Big Cove Tannery; Irene Fittry, St. Thomas;
William Mellott, Warfordsburg; John Mellott, Sideling Hill; Ottis Mellott,
Tiffin, Ohio, and Russell Mellott, Tiffin, Ohio.  There are three children
deceased, Mary, James and Bessie. She also leaves 23 grand children and 12
great grand children.
