Mrs. Annie M. Crouse

Mrs. Annie Martha Crouse 90, former resident of Big Cove Tannery, this
county, died at the Washington Co., Hospital, Hagerstown, Md., on August
26, 1954, following a short illness. She had been making her home with
a grand daughter, Mrs. William Parlette, Middleburg Pike, Hagerstown,
for the past two years. The body was removed to the Gress funeral home in
McConnellsburg and prepared for burial.  The decesed was born on March 24,
1864 a daughter of the late Dennis and Levina Deshong Hess. Her husband,
Jacob Crouse preceeded her in death in 1907. Mrs. Crouse was one of Fulton
County;s oldest residents and had lived practically all her life in the Big
Cove Tannery area. When her house was destroyed by fire nearly two years ago
she went to live with Mrs. Parlette.  Survivors include: three children,
Charles Crouse, and Mack Coruse of Big Cove Tannery, and Mrs. Mary Reese
of Mercersburg R D 3, Bessie Crouse Fisher, Millie Crouse Lynch, and Hazel
Crouse McFadden and Donald Crouse are all deceased. One sister Mrs. Abbie
Moore Mellott of Harrisoville also survives. There are 38 grand children,
54 great grand children and 18 great great grand children.  Funeral services
were held on Monday, August 30, at 10 a.,. at the White church at the Union
cemetery with -------
