    William H. Mellott, 90, born May 31, 1864, died Oct -- 1954, at the
    home of his daughter, Mrs. Dovie Hann, near Needmore, where he was
    residing. He was a retired farmer of Fulton county, where he lived all
    his life, he was a son of Alpheus and Elizabeth Hollinshead Mellott. On
    Aug. 24, 1890, he was united in marriage to Luetta Mellott who passed
    away nearly 8 years ago.

    Surviving are the following children, Mrs. John Weller of Newburg,
    Mrs. Dovie Hann, of Warfordsburg, Ray and Chester of Needmore, also
    16 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, and one great great
    grandchild. Also two half brothers survive, Mavey and Zenas Mellott of
    Lakland, Md.

    He was a life long member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethen,
    and was a deacon of the church for many years.

    Funeral services were held at l.30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, with
    Rev. D. T. Pepple, of Woodburg officiating. Interment was made at
    Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
