From: Sara Robbins Hoffman [july37@cox.net] Sent: Thursday, April 23, 2009 12:32 PM BEGIN The Margaret Holloway named in the will of 10-Aaron as his grandaughter may not have been the daughter of Abigail Robins Buck. I can find no proof that Abigail Robins married Ephraim Buck & had a daughter Margaret who married John Holloway. New Jersey Archives: May 11, 1777 will of Ephraim Buck of Fairfield, Cumberland Co., NJ, wife Abigail does not name a daughter Margaret. Ephraim Buck of Fairfield married Abigail Ogden Sept. 27, 1769 in Cumberland Co., NJ from New Jersey Marriage Records, 1665-1800, pg. 36. It appears this man wasn't the husband of Abigail Robins. Did Abigail Robins Buck have a daughter Margaret Buck who married John Holloway? Is there some record for her parents, her birth & marriage? We do know that Abigail Robins married a man named Buck as stated in 10-Aaron's will. We do know 10-Aaron had a grandaughter named Margaret Holloway as stated in his will. We do know Margaret Holloway was living in 1784 when she was named in the will of her uncle Aaron Robins, Jr. According to Holloway researchers, Margaret Buck Holloway was living in VA by 1754. It may be of no signficance but this isn't mentioned in 10-Aaron's or Aaron Jr's will. I find it interesting that Charles Robbins Hutchinson did not connect Margaret Holloway as the daughter of Abigail Robins Buck. He speculated Aaron had a deceased daughter who married a Holloway & Margaret was their daughter. He thought both of Margaret's parents were deceased at the time of 10-Aaron's will in 1759 & that Margaret was still unmarried in 1784. I'm unable to confirm the accuracy of Mr. Hutchinson's speculation regarding the deceased daughter of 10-Aaron or Margaret Holloway as a single woman in 1784. Until there is some evidence or a clue that Abigail Robins Buck had a daughter Margaret who married John Holloway & migrated to Virginia this 10-Aaron line is questionable. END
