From Sara Robbins Hoffman on June 17, 2010: BEGIN Has any other Robbins of Cumberland Co researcher noticed the following information circulating on Ancestry regarding the maiden name Holmes for Mary wife of Richard Robbins, Jr. along with her death date as 1756? We know she was living when Richard wrote his Will on March 27, 1755 so she obviously died after this date but was it 1756? There is excellent documentation for Richard Robins, Sr's 2nd wife Catherine as a Holmes. Is there evidence for a Richard Jr. marriage to a Holmes too? Since very little is known about Mary, the Holmes connection for her is an interesting revelation to me. Getting a response from the majority of Ancestry posters isn't easy. All I can find there for this information is a family database that appears to originate from genealogy software like FTM. This could be simply junk Ancestry information but thought I'd ask. Does anyone know if there are actual sources for Mary's maiden name as Holmes, like a Will, a Deed, or a Bible Record? END from Gary D. Robins BEGIN CALENDAR OF WILLS - 1751-1760 269 1751, Mar. 20.
