END From: DelLynn Leavitt Sent: Saturday, March 29, 2003 7:57 PM BEGIN I ran across your Giersbach/Kishbaugh info. on Ancestry.com World Tree site and then I noted that you were also related to the Raub family and I popped on to your Raub and more site. Well done. My ancestor Johannes Henrich immigrated in 1751 on the ship the Two Brothers with his brother George and with Johan Jost Giersbach. Then they all settled in Knowlton NJ. Although I have suspected some earlier relationships Johannes' granddaughter Ann Mary Henry married William Kishbaugh (b. 12 Apr 1774 to Johan Jost and Anna Elisabeth Giersbach) around 1797 and they moved to Nescopeck, Luzerine Co., PA around 1810 along with my Henry family and several other Knowlton families. William died 6 May 1837 at Nescopeck according to Rev. Isaac Shellhammers Marr. & Death Records. I have had quite a time trying connect all of the Nescopeck Kishbaugh families and determine William and Mary's children. Of course Joseph b. 23 Mar 1803 is listed on the Knowlton 1st Preb. Union Church records and I see that you found two daughters Anna and Phobe over in Stillwater. Another Kishbaugh was John b. abt. 1798 (according to census) who married Elizabeth Arner. I am not sure is he was a child of William and Maria or a cousin or Nephew. Then there are George b. 1809 who married Hariett Henrietta Eckrod, Casper b. 1811 who married Anna, Jacob b. 1814 who married Lavina Myers, and William b. 1819 who married Sabina who were all probably sons of William and Maria. There is nothing that defiantly ties these children to them, but William and Anna Maria were the only ones old enough to be their parents. All of these Kishbaughs had large families that I have info. on if you are interested in any of them. Now, as if our paths did not already cross with the Kishbaughs, William Kishbaugh's wife Anna Maria Henry was b. 29 Jan 1780 and was baptized at Knowlton on the 21 of May to Joahnnes Henrich Jr. and his wife Elisabetha. I have suspected that her mother Elisabeth was possibly a Linndberry/Lindburger as they witness three of her children's baptisms. Casper Henry was b. 31 Apr 1782 and bapt. 15 Aug 1782 to Johanes and Elisabetha with Casper Linaburger and wife listed as witnesses. Joanna Henry was born 19 Oct 1784 and bapt. 22 Nov. to the same listing Johan Jost Lineberger and Johana Robens as witnesses. And Catharina b. 15 Feb 1789 and bapt. 1 Jun to the same, listing Hienrich Luneburger and wife Catharina as witnesses. But, I am not quite convinced that Conrad and Esther Lindberry were Elisabeth's parents as they did not name any of their children after the same, but they did have children named Jacob and Catherine. Perhaps there were other options such as the family of Nicholas Lindburger who immg. with Conrad? One more question. My Henry family married into the George Rauch family who was a blacksmith in Nescopeck Village. His grandfather Johan Georg Rauch immigrated in 1740 on the Robert and Alice. There was another ship, The Samuel that reported on the same day of the 3 Dec in Philadelphia. On that ship and Oath lists was a George Rough or Raub. He is listed as Jerick Rough age 45 on list A or the list compiled by the captain and Jerick (X) Croub on list B. one of the oath lists and Georg (X) Raub on list C the other oath lists. I am curious to know if he fits into your Raub family as there were more than one Georg Rauch who immigrated to America about that time and Rough was a variant spelling of Rauch. We have been trying to find out when the other George Rauch immigrated and it has been suggested that since he could not write his name, he might have been mistakenly listed as a Raub. I note that none of the Raubs listed in your data bases seem to fit this George Raub. Any idea who he is? END
