William Fisher and his first wife Charity Young. She was a spinster who lived with her sister Mary Fisher Hagaman and brother-in-law Abraham Hagaman in Ringoes, NJ. Her gravesite was located a few rods north-east of the former location of the James Monroe Hagaman barn (now on the grounds of the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds). It was also located very near an ancient burial ground described by Dr. C. W. Larison in his book Ringoes on pg. 104 dated 1889. The circumstances of her passing are written on pg. 92 in the Fisher Family book also written by Dr. Larison. William attained the rank of lieutenant during the war. He served in Captain John Phillips' Hunterdon County Militia Regiment during the Revolutionary War. His first wife was Charity Young.
