Elizabeth Fisher was the daughter of Lt. William Fisher and his first wife
Charity Young. She was a spinster who lived with her sister Mary Fisher
Hagaman and brother-in-law Abraham Hagaman in Ringoes, NJ. Her gravesite
was located a few rods north-east of the former location of the James Monroe
Hagaman barn (now on the grounds of the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds). It was
also located very near an ancient burial ground described by Dr. C. W. Larison
in his book Ringoes on pg. 104 dated 1889. The circumstances of her passing
are written on pg. 92 in the Fisher Family book also written by Dr. Larison.

REVOLUTIONARY WAR VETERAN
William "Johann Wilhelm" Fisher was a veteran of the American
Revolution. William attained the rank of lieutenant during the war. He
served in Captain John Phillips' Hunterdon County Militia Regiment during
the Revolutionary War. His first wife was Charity Young. They had three
children: (1) Mary Fisher who married Abraham Hagaman, (2) Elizabeth Hagaman
who never married and (3) Peter Fisher who married Alice Johnson. After his
first marriage, he next married Charity Youngblood. They had five children:
William Fisher, Jr. who married Lucretia Slack, John Fisher who married Sarah
Prall and moved to New York, Sarah Fisher who married Lewis Chamberlain,
Hannah Fisher who married Lewis Ketchum and Ann Fisher who also married
Lewis Chamberlain as his third wife and former brother-in-law. Peter Fisher
and Alice Johnson Fisher had six children: (3i) James Johnson Fisher,
I. who married Rebecca Pidcock, no issue, (3ii) Elizabeth Fisher who
married Mahlon Wambaugh and had two sons; Augustus Wambaugh and Peter
F. Wambaugh (3iii) Charity Fisher, a maid, (3iv) Ann Fisher, a maid,
(3v) William Peter Fisher who married Sara Wilson and had nine children;
(3va.) Alice Ann Fisher who married Isaac Mathews and had a son William
Fisher Mathews. William Fisher Mathews married Arelia Runkle. The had two
children Howard Mathews and Mary Mathews, (3vb.) James Johnson Fisher,
II. who married Mary Higgins. They had fourteen children; Uree Fisher, Asa
Higgins Fisher, Martha Fisher, Sara Fisher, Mary Ann Fisher, Charity Fisher,
Alice Fisher, William Johnson Fisher, James Walter Fisher, Davis Fisher,
Franklin Fisher, Rebecca Fisher, Susan H. Fisher and Jesse Bodine Fisher,
(3vc.) Peter Fisher who married Ann Holcombe, (3vd.) Martha Fisher who
married Jordam Mathews. They had a son John E. Mathews, (3ve.) John Fisher
who married Martha H. Fisher, the daughter of John C. Fisher and Cornelia
Skillman. John and Martha (Fisher) Fisher had nine children; Sarah M. Fisher,
Hiram Lanning Fisher, Emma W. Fisher, Thomas S. Fisher, Mary B. Fisher,
Charles F. Fisher, William Fisher, Nellie S. Fisher and Kate L. Fisher,
(3vf.) Elizabeth Fisher who died at an early age, (3vg.) Israel Fisher who
married Mary Quick. They had three children; Belle V. Fisher, Ella Fisher and
Martin Fisher, (3vh.) William P. Fisher who married Elizabeth Manners. They
had three children; Sarah Fisher, Carrie Fisher and Theodore Fisher and
(3vi) Sara L. Fisher who married Aaron Baracroft. They had two children;
Jordan Baracroft and Stacy Baracroft. and lastly (3vi) Cornelius Q. Wilson
who married Getrude Young.
