    DESHONG, Matilda B. (10 APR 1851 - 21 AUG 1915)

    Mrs. Matilda B. Deshong, wire of Christopher Deshong whose death
    was noted in our last issue, was aged sixty-four years four months
    and twelve days. She had been a sufferer from dropsy for a period of
    four years, which was the immediate cause of her death.  Besides her
    husband she is survived by the following children, namely: Daniel of
    the west, Frances, wife of George Bradnick of Knobsville, May, wife
    of Elmer Seville, Elizabeth Levy, Rebecca, wife of Arthur Wilkinson of
    Breezewood, and Orville and Emory at home. She is also survived by the
    following brothers and sisters, Annie Everetts of Cito, Thomas Bishop
    of Charlestown, W. Va., Mrs. Hannah Rite, of Breezewood and Nathaniel
    Bishop of Hustontown.  Mrs. Deshong was a loving wife, kind mother and
    a Christian woman, having been a member of the Christian church for
    forty-six years.  She was laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the
    Sideling Hill Baptist church, Funeral services conducted by her pastor
    Rev. Powors of Needmore.
