Died Closely Together
The funerals of John S. Holcombe and his wife Harriet occurred in Lambertville
week before last. Both died of pneumonia, Mrs. Holcombe on the 22d of
April, and Mr. Holcombe on the 26th. The deceased were highly respectable
people. Mrs. Harriet Holcombe was twice married, her first husband, John
Holcombe, dying soon after marriage and leaving a daughter, Caroline, now
the wife of Gervas Ely, of Lambertville. The deceased inherited from her
grandfather over $100,000 in money and property, the latter being entailed
to her children. She was 66 years of age. There are three other daughters,
one of whom is the wife of Theodore Skillman, one the wife of Dr. Reading
and one unmarried.

DC only shows burial as "Lambertville" All family is buried in Mount Hope
and in First Presbyterian ...Am researching to determine which cemetery.
