He and his brother William, purchased ninety acres of land with the old homestead, and after William's death purchased his interest. He has added other lands, until he now has nearly three hundred acres. In 1857 he was married to Miss Margaret A. Lawson. Her father, John F. Lawson, came from New York City in 1857 and purchased from government five hundred and sixty acres of land in the towns of Genoa and Oceola, were he died. Mr. & Mrs. Younglove are among the pioneers who have witnessed the transformation of the primeval forest into a prosperous community, and remember well when the Indian and the wolf was not an uncommon sight, where now is a thickly settled town.
