BEGIN Rebecca was born in 1824 or 1825 in New Jersey and died on February 21, 1912 in Phillipsburg, Warren County, New Jersey. She married first William Walker (died before 1850) on October 17, 1841 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey and second Joseph R. Spangenberg (born in 1823 or 1824) before 1860 in Hunterdon County. In 1860 this family was residing in Phillipsburg. Joseph died on October 22, 1904 in Hunterdon County. From the Easton Express, Easton, Pennsylvania dated February 22, 1912 (section under "Phillipsburg (NJ) Briefs"): Note - Rebecca was the widow of Joseph R. Spangenberg, not James, as the obituary says in error. BEGIN Mrs. Rebecca Spangenburg / Rebecca, widow of James Spangenburg, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Allshouse, 371 Firth street, aged 86 years. Deceased was twice married. She is survived by the following children: Daniel Spangenburg, of Milford, N. J.; Mrs. Allshouse, of this place; Walter Walker, of Michigan; James Walker, of Easton; Edward Walker, of Ohio.
