Freehold, May 30, 1885
The funeral of ex-Judge Chilion Robbins took place Wednesday at
Freehold. Judge Alfred Reed of the Supreme Court, Judge Walling, ex-Senator
Applegate, ex-Speaker Oviatt, William H. Vredenburg & Rennselaer W. Dayton
were the pallbearers.

BEGIN

There were two Chilion Robbins, uncle & nephew. Judge Chilion Robbins
was the brother of Eliza B. Robbins. Chilion & Eliza were the children
of Augustus & Lucy Savidge Robbins. Benjamin S. & Eliza B. had only one
child Chilion b. 2/24/1876 named for his uncle the judge.  Eliza B. died
2/24/1876 at age 27. By 1880 Benjamin S. had moved to Franklin, Warren
Co., OH & was married to Emma Clutch daughter of Daniel Clutch.
