William Kilpatrick died at his home, 739 Washington Street, at 12:25
o'clock last night. Yesterday the deceased was stricken with apoplexy
while sitting on a chair at his home. He was carried to bed & quietly
passed away without having regained consciousness. He was a son of the
late Jacob & Eliza Kilpatrick, and was born in Easton on Sept. 21, 1820,
being consequently in the 72d year of his age. From early boyhood until 10
years ago the deceased had resided at Freemansburg, where he was employed
as a boss by the Bethlehem Iron Company. After moving to Easton, he lived
retired, owing to heart disease, with which he was a sufferer.

In 1855 the deceased was married to Miss Anna M. Van Billiard, who, with these
children, survives him: Emma, wife of F.P. Geehr; Weston Kilpatrick and Miss
Violet Kilpatrick, all of this city. 2 brothers--Jacob Kilpatrick, of Centre
Valley, and Edward Kilpatrick, of Easton - and one sister -Mrs. Christian
Bleich, of South Bethlehem - also survive him. The deceased was a member
of St. John's Lutheran Church, this city, and a charter member of Cradle of
Liberty Council, No. 124, Jr. O.U.A.M., of Freemansburg. He was a trustee &
treasurer of that lodge for several years.

Mrs Anna Malinda Kilpatrick, widow of the late William Kilpatrick, died at
5:30 o'clock this morning at her home, 718 Lehigh Street of a complication
of ailments. She would have been 85 years of age on February 2 next. She
had been in failing health for some time.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. F.P. Geehr, of this city, and a son Weston
Kilpatrick, with whom she resided; also by a brother, Oliver Van Billiard,
of Phillipsburg. Mrs. Kilpatrick was born at Farmersville, a daughter of
the late John & Hannah Van Billiard.

After she was married, she & her husband, who died 30 years ago, moved
to Freemansburg and resided there for 36 years. They then moved to Easton,
where Mrs. Kilpatrick had since made her home. She was confirmed as a Lutheran
in the Farmersville Lutheran Church and was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church, this city.
