He died 12 January 1938 at Annandale, Clinton Twp., Hunterdon Co. Burial was 15 January 1938 in Union Cemetery, Borough of Lebanon. Selenda (or Selinda) F. Lake, b. 1863 in Cokesbury, Tewksbury Twp., Hunterdon Co., to Nelson Lake and Matilda Tiger Lake. She died 19 September 1923 in Annandale. Eick, died at 11:15 o'clock Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, 1923, at her home in Annandale. She had long been a sufferer from sugar diabetes. Her age was 62 years. She was a daughter of the late Nelson Lake of Cokesbury, and had lived in Annandale since 1906, moving there from the vicinity of Lebanon. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Elijah R. H. Teeter and Mrs. Lawrence Maxwell both of Annandale; four sons, Roy Eick of Hampton, Leslie F. Eick of High Bridge, Asa J. Eick of Hamden, and Haver Eick, living at home; one brother, Asa Lake of Shelbina, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Alpaugh of Whitehouse and Mrs. Mary Hoffman of Gladstone. The funeral was held Saturday morning with services at her late home. Burial was in the Methodist Cemetery at Lebanon. Silas Eick, eighty-one years old, one of the oldest Annandale residents, died Wednesday night in his home, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Eick had lived in Annandale and vicinity 77 years, moving there with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Eick, in 1861. He was born May 8, 1857, in Parker, near Long Valley. Prior to his retiring in 1921, he operated a farm north of Annandale, recently owned by the Annandale Graphite Company. His wife died in September 1923. Surviving Mr. Eick are two brothers, Rado, Newark, and Johnson, Netcong; one sister, Mrs. Edith Sutton, Long Valley; four sons, Roy, Dunellen; Leslie, Glen Gardner; Asa, Port Richmond, S. I. and Haver, Annandale; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Kinney, Westfield, and Mrs. Mildred Teeter, Annandale; several grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Last rites were held Saturday from the John G. Brokaw Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial was in Union Cemetery, adjoining Lebanon Methodist Church.
