Asher Hankinson Hagaman was born April 23rd, 1829. After his father's death,
he went to live with his uncle Peter Hagaman, with whom he stayed about
two years. He then learned to be a carpenter and settled in Philadelphia,
Pa., where he married and had two children. He later moved to St. Louis,
Missouri and lived at 4555 Cook Ave. He died there in 1919. His daughter
Fannie Hagaman taught kindergarten at the Douglas Elementary School. His
son William A. Hagaman was a clerk. Asher H. Hagaman is buried in the
Bellefontaine Cemetery in Saint Louis Missouri.
