BEGIN From: "Sara Hoffman" Date: Sun, 4 Mar 2012 15:53:24 -0700 Hi Marshall, I wanted to let you know more about the details of John's death since you knew him better than most. Betty called me this afternoon & said John died on Feb 24th. He was taken suddenly with stomach pain & when they got him to the hospital they found he had an aneurysm of the aorta that had ruptured. He want into surgery & died soon after. She said she had a few last words with him at home right before he went to the hospital but none after. Betty seems to be doing as well as possible. She has a lot of family support from her daughter & John's three sons. She said John wanted to go quickly & he got his wish. From what she said, John apparently hadn't felt well for awhile & had slowed down a lot. Sara From: "Sara Hoffman" Date: Sun, 4 Mar 2012 16:12:54 -0700 He was 86. END
