Post War Settlement Prince Edward Island Settlement Settlers on the Island of Saint John The following URL has a more detailed chart for the extract of the12 June 1784 Muster Roll that was quoted from Archives Canada: http://www.islandregister.com/12jun1784.html Here we further learn that Loyalist Will Robins, Age 60, was granted land from his Majesty on Bedeque Bay. He had come over to the Island from Shelburne, Nova Scotia where he had last drawn provisions up to 20th April. [That was one of the gathering places for many Loyalists before being granted their land from the Crown] From the recreated 1798 Census of St. John's Island Heads of Households, we find in the list for Lot 26 on Bedeque Bay, Widow Robins along with three males under 16 and three females under 16. http://www.islandregister.com/lot26.html A map of those lots is also found on this site which will gives us a good idea where Bedeque Bay. It is near modern day Summerside, PEI.
