I'm wondering if you have any thoughts about early Devon, England Lakes
matching into your list. His earliest ancestor about whom I have a fair amount
of confidence is a Thomas Lake, my father's three times great grandfather,
born about 1745 likely in Devon.  I am not sure of Thomas's ancestors but
I am looking at Thomas being baptized 1746 in Cheriton Fitzpaine, to Henry
Lake and Mary Pool; that Henry being baptized 1704 in Cruwys Morchard to
Elias Lake and Anstis/Anstice Turner; and that Henry being baptized in
Cadeleigh 1679 to William Lake and Alice Granger.
