This was confirmed by John Gott,who researched the Lake brothers,Vincent,William,& John Lake came to Fauquire County,Virginia from St. Mary's County,Maryland. They leased land from a Mr. Scott in Fauquier County,Virginia in 1754. As,we know,John stayed in Rectorstown,in Virginia and William Lake,went to Harrison County,WVA. And Vincent went to Chester's Gap near Front Royal,Virginia. Apparently they had a fourth brother Richard Lake !!! who went to Ohio,and moved close to each other but did not keep contact with each other. There is a 1 acre plot in Lake Cemetery,in Mellon's Field in Fauquire County,Virginia. The Lakeland Estate is currently owned by Senator John Warner's daughter who lives there.
