I am afraid since this list has just started there is only one or two people researching in England and I suggest you, including your mother, should continue with the Northumbria list too. I am hoping more researchers in England will join the list. Perhaps I can be of a little help since I grew up on the outskirts of South Shields but that was more years ago than I care to remember. However, the genealogical research I have done has been mainly in England so I may be able to help there, if needed. I do not know whether you and/or your mother are members of Northumberland and Durham FHS. If you are not, it may well be a useful resource unless your ancestors came from outside the area. Do you know where Richard Mallet Lake was born or anymore about his parents. The middle name of Mallet does not ring any bells but I will check my records of other Lake lines. Welcome to the Lake list, Frank
