[2] Ann R. Bancker a slave owner. [2] My notes - In the will of Ann R. Bancker she refers to child #1, John George, as "the son of my said late husband", and does not name any other children. (In 1768 Ann writes a letter to "my dear son" but does not name him.) Assuming all the children are by Robert Lake from a previous marriage. (Ann R. Bancker names an "Ann Riche of Phildelphia" in her will but does not state any relationship.) According to the wording in the will of Robert Lake, all the children appear to be unmarried and childless in 1772. The mother and father of Ann R. Bancker were both alive when Ann wrote her will in 1783. Perhaps Ann R. is actually the second spouse of Robert Lake, and Ann Bancker was the first spouse of Robert. Citations - 1.
