A few years ago another Robbins researcher gave me what he believed to
be his connection to the NJ Daniel Robins family naming Samuel Robbins
who died May 8, 1872 in Jersey City, Hudson Co. as his link. I was
unable to find this link. Recently, I followed up with a death
certificate & to my surprise the birthplace of Samuel Robbins is
listed as England with his parents Samuel & Anna Robbins. This
probably doesn't help any member with their Robbins searches but it
does show how difficult it can be to work with similar names that
belong to completely different families.
