Research on the Daniel Robins family indicates very few lived in Hudson Co. I don't know if this will be of any help but thought I'd post it for you. A few years ago I was researching the name Samuel Robbins in NJ & came across the name of a Samuel Robbins born in England in 1825 from a NJ Archive Death Record Book & made a copy. This Samuel Robbins died May 8, 1871 in Jersey City Hudson Co. Jersey City is close to Bayonne where your George Robbins lived. The death record for Samuel Robbins states he was married when he died at age 46 of consumption. The names of his parents were Samuel & Annie Robbins. The 1860 census lists Samuel & family living in Hudson Co. in 1860. He was employed as a clerk.

Note the name George for one of Samuel's children. This George was born too early to be your George born in Hudson Co. in 1875. Possibily, he had a son George born in 1875 or his brothers Henry or William had a son George. I can send you a copy of the death certificate if you think there may be some connection.
