It appears that my 3rd great grandmother, Ruth Barnum was the daughter of David Barnum & Charity Lake.  Ruth was born c1759 in Connecticut, and
married Daniel Hull at Quaker Hill, Dutchess County, New York, in 1783.  Quaker Hill is near the Connecticut border and not far from Kent and
New Milford.  Charity Lake was born at New Milford and married at Kent.  We have no birth record for Ruth Barnum or any of her possible
siblings.
Charity Lake was the daughter of James Lake & Mary Rogers; and granddaughter of Thomas Lake & Sarah Peate (Peet).  Thomas Lake apparently was
born in Derbyshire, England, and married in Connecticut.
