Mary Agnes Robbins, 91, of Connersville, IN, passed away peacefully
Wednesday evening, May 15, 2013, at Caroleton Manor Nursing Home,
Connersville, IN. Born: The youngest of four children, she was born
December 16, 1921 in Cedar Grove, IN, the daughter of Harry J. and
Josephine Hofmeyer Kuehn; with her family, she moved to Connersville
in 1924 and graduated from Connersville High School. Personal: She was
married in the Rectory of St. Gabriel Church to Joe B Robbins and they
reared four sons, Ronald, Donald, David and Stephen; Mr. Robbins died
April 2, 1992. For a number of years, she was employed by the Fayette
County School Food Services Department, serving at Maplewood School
and later at the Connersville High School; additionally, she also
worked at the Sears & Roebuck Catalog Store in Connersville and, along
with her husband and son, she owned and operated Dave's Deli Sandwich
Shoppe. In her free moments, she found great joy dancing with her husband
and playing cards with her friends. Memberships: She was a member of
St. Gabriel Church and a former member of the St. Ann's Altar Society,
the Daughters of Isabella and the church choir; she was also a member
of the Culture Club. Survivors: Include three sons, Ronald E. (Bonnie)
Robbins of Easton, PA, David N. Robbins and Stephen A. (Julia) Robbins,
both of Connersville, six grandchildren, Anne (Gretchen Dock) Robbins of
Newton, MA, Michelle (Doug) Jacobsen of Huntingtown, MD, Kyle (Angie)
Robbins, Jeffrey (Annie) Robbins, Andrea (Russel) Williams and Megan
Robbins, all of Connersville, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces,
nephews, cousins and her pet poodle "Lily." In addition to her husband
and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald "Doc"
L. Robbins, who died December 16, 1998, and his wife JoAnne, a brother,
Howard Kuehn, and two sisters, Loretta Crowe and Rita Risch. Services:
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Wednesday,
May 22, 2013, at St. Gabriel Church (232 W. 9th St., Connersville,
IN) with Rev. Stanley J. Herber officiating. Burial will be in Dale
Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral
Home (1704 N. Grand Ave., Connersville, IN) from 4 until 7 PM on Tuesday
where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM; they may also visit anytime
online at millermosterrobbins.com. Memorials: Contributions may be made
to the St. Gabriel Building Restoration Fund.
