He married into the Houghland family. Jefferson Kentucky was a hot bed of activity especially for Rachel Ryker Houghland Robbins Smock. So much inter-marrying it's hard to keep it straight. Charity Ryker Robbins mother Rachel Ryker marries John Van Cleave. Hugh Conway marries Rachel Van Cleave in 1788 then 10 years later has three children with Charity Ryker Robbins first being Nancy Robens 1798-1825 / Henry Robens 1800-1838 and then Cynthia Robens Smith 1801-1868. All three children of this union stayed in Kentucky while mother Charity moves on to Indiana to live with Aaron William Robins until her death sometime between 1850-1860. I do not believe the theory that the Eagle Brown County Vincent Robbins was part of the Jefferson County Kentucky Ryker / Smock / Conway / Houghland / Van Cleave / Neald families. The Washburns never appeared to be in Jefferson Co. There is a record of them being in Shelby Co along with Vincent Robbins in 1795. The Washburns were in Bracken Co. in 1799 and shortly after crossed into Ohio. The only military record that i know for sure is Vincent G. is the war of 1812 in Ohio. George and Azubia Washburn son Cornielus Washburn must have spent a great deal of time together since he named his son Vincent Robbins Washburn born in 1814 in Brown County. That's my theory and i'm sticking to it.
