Subject: Need ancestors of Milton Lake, born 1798

Milton Lake, born Mason Co. Kentucky 1798, died 1872 Clark City, Illinois,
married Rhuah or Rhuhin Shaw born 1804

Thye had seven children, of whom John (1828-1906) is my Ggrandfather. He
crossed the Plains to Oregon in 1859 or1862. He or his wife lied about their
year of crossing  in order to be able to march together in the Oregon
Pioneer Days parades.

I would appreciate any info about this, my mother's family. Glad to
exchange, of course. Winona Hulse Ackerman
