My grand father was Joshua Robbins est birth date was 1828 Ky he married
Mary L Brown cannot find the marriage records but in the 1870 census morgan
co Ky no Joshua with Mary just her kids Emery,John,Rhoda,Mary,Alfred and
so on 1880 census says widow so I heard he got killed on the Caney river
in Ky but the letter I have states the date was 7/3/1886 so that cannot be
my Joshua Robbins now I know we had 2 Joshua according to the census in VA
there was a Joshua with 2 children Wiley,john W Robbins age 10 which they
are related to me I know for sure so he must be the one that died on the
river the letter was written to John W Robbins stating our uncle has been
murdered signed by Joseph Dyer which he was the son of Jemima Robbins who
married France Dyer so he had to be the brother to Daniel Robbins because
Daniel was the father of Jemima Robbins who was born in NC or SC don’t know
which one  she married Francis Dyer in floyd co in 1821 so what I am trying
to do is connect my Joshua to Daniel I don’t know if he is Daniels brother
or son  they lived mostly in Morgan co ky but they were also in carter co
and Breathitt co ky and then Morgan co I know the one that died on the river
was Daniel brother so my Joshua must be his son thanks for all your help and I
