Here's what I've been able to find out about my Lake line so far. My
father's name is Paul S. Lake Jr. Born in Baltimore in 1927. His
father is Paul S. Lake. Born in Philadelphia in 1895. His father was
Washington Columbus Lake. He was born in Wilmington in1864. His father was
Washington Columbus Lake. He was born in Back Creek Chesapeake City,Md
in1835. His father was Reubin Lake. He was born Back Creek Chesapeake
City, Md. in1801. His father I think was James Lake but I'm not sure
about this and I can't find a date of birth or place of birth for him.
It was either the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland or New Jersey but this
is just speculation on my part. There was another Washington Lake born
in Dorchester County in Maryland in 1776 but I can't find any link to
him from my family, but the name is just unusual enough to make me think
that there is some connection.
