My dad, Gordon Roland Lake, was born in Michigan.  His brother is Victor,
his sisters are Lee and Loray.  My father and Loray are deceased.  I am
not certain but I think Lee and Victor are still living.  My father had
3 children, myself, Roxanne, Gary; Victor had four, Victoria, Trudy,
Theodore and Timothy; Lee had 3, Sherry, Bobbie and a boy (can't remember
his name); and Loray had none.

I am looking at some papers my dad left, he traces his lineage back to
Thomas Lake, 1700.

It goes backwards like this:
Gordon R. Lake 1929 m. Elizabeth Nelson (my mom and dad, he was 13 years
                                         older than her)
Leotis L. Lake 1889 m. Mae Hurless
Loren L. Lake 1868 m. Loretta Brunni
Lewis Nelson Lake Jr (no DAB) m. Martha Baldwin
Lewis Nelson Lake Sr 1786 m. Martha Gaff
Joseph Lake 1731 m. Deborah Jackson
Thomas Lake 1700 m. Sarah P. Lake ( cousins?)

I got my grandmother and my great grandmother mixed up.  There is a
letter here, and some other papers, dated 1979.  A man named LaVonne
Lake Bennett from Ionia, MI wrote to him.
