Date: Thu, 08 Nov 2007 14:59:49 -0500 From: Barbara Ribling I just found a Revolutionary War pension file for Daniel and Hepzibah Lake of Cheshire Co., NH. There is an affidavit from Daniel's brother Enos Lake attesting to the marriage of Daniel and Hepzibah. The marriage took place in March 1783, Enos did not attend. The marriage continued until the death of Daniel on November 20, 1834 in Cheshire, NH, at the home of John and Mary Ann Lake. John and Mary Ann swore an affidavit regarding the death and that Hepzibah remained a widow. Prior to his death, Daniel swore an affidavit that he was a farmer, that his wife Hepzibah was aged 57 and "very feeble". Both Daniel and Enos Lake served in the Revolutionary War. Daniel enlisted at Winter Hill, Massachusetts, in Capt. Robert Thomas' Co. for eight months and then enlisted again for one year under, Capt. Benjamin Mann, Col. James Reed's Regmt. I do not know anything else of this family but it might be helpful to someone.
